A. Mike wanted to work with street kids. His dream was to make a difference in the lives of kids who had been cast out onto the street and those who delt with drug addiction and homosexuality. He was on his way to achieving this through his schooling and although he never completed his college course, he is being remembered through an honourary diploma. He would be so happy.

A. There was no alternative for Mike. He knew what he wanted and he went after it. All he wanted was to help people and he did it well. He was definetely an angel sent to all of us from above.

A. At the time of his death, Michael was enrolled as a student in triOS College's Community Service Worker program. He was less than a year away from achieving his dream job. He is being given an honourary diploma for all of his hard work and dedication to helping people.

A. His family wasn't perfect - far from it... but whose isn't. Michael loved his family and they loved him in return. His mom and little sister meant the world to him and I know that he will be watching over them all as he lies with the angels.

A. Mike never judged anyone. He saw the good in everyone and believed that all people were capable of doing well in life. He saw people for who they really are. I think this was his philosophy in life - treat others the way you'd want to be treated. Although, most of all, he lived by this: "Gay and proud hunny... get it right!"
