"A smile costs nothing but gives much. It enriches those who receive without making poorer those who give. It takes but a moment, but the memory of it sometimes lasts forever. None is so rich or mighty that he cannot get along without it and none is so poor that he cannot be made rich by it. Yet a smile cannot be bought, begged, borrowed, or stolen, for it is something that is of no value to anyone until it is given away. Some people are too tired to give you a smile. Give them one of yours, as none needs a smile so much as he who has no more to give."

My favorite memories of Amanda always came with smiles, tons of them. Her smile was contagious and full of warmth. It was her gift of love, and she passed it onto everyone who came across its path.

This is Amanda and Kelly dressed up as Thing 1 and Thing 2 for Halloween. This was taken in 2002 in Tallahassee, FL at the Warehouse. Their costumes were by far the best of the bunch and we all had a blast that night. I like this picture because it reminds me of how Amanda never missed an opportunity to celebrate. It also reminds me of all the good times we had in college at the Warehouse, a place where you could bring your dog, drink cheap beer, play pool, hear great music, eat tots with cheese or just relax and take advantage of all the amenities of the back porch.
