Marci Holman Tribute

Mourners gathered in Pacific Beach Friday evening to pay honor to Marcella Holman, the 21-year-old killed after falling nine stories to her death at a downtown high-rise in the Core-Columbia neighborhood earlier that day.

Police told the Union Tribune Holman slipped and fell over the balcony railing of a high-rise unit in the Acqua Vista condominiums at about 3 a.m. Police told the newspaper the fall appeared to be accidental.

According to the newspaper, there might have been a party or social gathering going on at the time of the incident. Police said Holman was in the apartment with a friend and her boyfriend at the time of the fall.

Holman, who lived in the Little Italy neighborhood, was a waitress at the Hard Rock Hotel San Diego and was attending the Art Institute of California, San Diego.
