I remember.. the first time I saw you was also the first time I met Connie. I remember... I stayed for a night & you made me my favorite breakfast; rice & sunny side-up. I remember... you accompanied me while I was having my breakfast, like my mom used to do when I was still living with her. I remember... when I left you asked to come over again whenever I had time. I never knew that would be the last time I saw you. It was only for a day but you've left your footprints in my life & I just want you to know that you are dearly loved & fondly remembered.

In Connie's kindess and dedication to all those she befriends, it is easy to see what a remarkable woman you are. I say are because in God's love we are eternal. Your daughter is open and warm to all she meets keep her safe so she can bless others with the love and light she obviously inherited from you

Martha, we never met but I know through Connie that you are a beautiful lady, and I have only discovered that we share a birthday and that will make each of mine in the future seem all the more sweeter sharing with Connie's mum.

I remembered when I first saw you at the airport to meet your daughter, you were so kind to me when we were introduced, I remembered when you asked me to take a taste of a dish that you made for catering, it was delicious, you were so talented and a great cook, I remembered when we went out to a mall and treated me dinner, you're so kind and friendly, you're a wonderful mother and I am so blessed to have met you even only for a short moment.

I used to have a mother that loved me
I used to have a mother that took care of me
I used to have a mother that understood me
I used to have a mother that was always there for me
I used to have a mother that watched over me
I used to have a mother that celebrated my birthdays
I used to have a mother that let me cry on

I need her still now

They say she is more than a mother to me now
She is one of God's Angels
But what I need now is not an angel
but a mother like her.

My mother is a Christian,
In every important way;
The fruit of the Holy Spirit
Is displayed in her every day.

My mother is filled with kindness,
With love and joy and peace;
Her patience and her goodness
Inspire, and never cease.

She follows our Lord Jesus
With faithfulness, and more;
She’s gentle and has self control,
She knows what prayer is for.

Thanks, Mom, for being a Christian,
And showing me how to be;
I’ll follow your example
For all eternity.
