Memories of Mary McInerney Zona TCRG

Oh Mare...it is stil surreal to me

Kathy Stefanik Aug 17, 2010

What memory? There were hundredsof memories I have of you and I think of them so often. I only WISH I could remember all the fun times we had...you know, the crazy Irish we both had in us, which usually involved "a nip o' the pure". I would love nothing more than to go back to that time again when we were laughing hysterically, you teaching me how to stepdance...but now it only happens in my dreams. And in my dreams, My sweet Mary...WE ARE ALWAYS LAUGHING, with me doing a pathetic jig or reel. I think of you always...especially when I'm feeling down and need a good laugh. You're my "Go to Girl" for that laugh and that pick me up...and you ALWAYS will be. Love you, miss you, thin of you more than you would ever believe (Bobby, Dillon, and Keeley, too). You will forever be in my heart. Heavenly love and Shamrock kisses....Kath. You are my angel and I will always hold you close to me in my thoughts, memories, and prayers. God sure broke the mold when he created you and I can't help but wonder what you are doing right now in Heaven as we speak (because I KNOW you are listening) and telling us all that you are ok. Love you always, nutty girlfriend!!!

My fondest memory of Mary Mac ( from NO NO)

Noreen Jul 15, 2010

Cannot believe a year has passed. Seems like just yesterday I could hear Mary calling me out of a crowd, Hey No No!!! I remember the time when Mary and all of us were at a class preparing for Worlds and Michael would be killing us with the teams. Yeah it was our first world team medal win in Dun Laoighre with our choreography "The Irish Lace". Still hear mary screaming ""my balls are killing me" cause we all had a long sweating, balls of feet killing class Mary would only hope to be thrown out of class because she knew that we would win the team as long as Mike got mad enough to throw us out before the competition! She was superstitious about that!! Wow so many memories and great times.Your still screaming to us Mary and we will always keep you dancing in our hearts with our "Balls Killing"" hahahaha!!
Love and miss you sooooo much Mary Mac
Love and prayers to Breda Johnny Ann Clare Sean Bobby Dillon & Keeley at this time & cherish those happy smiling times with Mary.

This one is for the Red Heads

Suzanne Nov 17, 2009

At last years Oireachtas Mary came up to my dauhter and I and told us how nice it was to see a red head up there on the podium. She laughed, hugged my daughter smiled wished her continued success with her dancing. Mary was then off to spread some more sunshine! This year my daughter dances with you in her heart and this one is for the Red Heads!

My Childhood

katie Scanlon Oct 16, 2009

My first memory is dancing with Mary in some old church about 20 years ago. For the subsuquent 15 years I danced with her, going back and forth between regular dance, karate, and irish dance. Everytime I came back she would just look at me and say, I knew you would be back someday. Even to this day I look at Mary as someone who truely shaped my life. I have never met a more genuine person in my life and she will truly be missed forever.
Dance today, sleep tomorrow
Love you

I will Miss you

Jill Aug 29, 2009

I remember walking into my first Irish step class when it was back at the church. I was so nervous and had no clue what I was supposed to do. Mary came over to me helped me tie my shoes, and had a great huge smile across her face!!! She was always a loving, smiling, cheerful person. I will never forget her and all that I have learned from her. May you rest in peace Mary <333

I'm so happy to have known you.

Philip Owens Aug 23, 2009

I only knew Mary Mac for 5 years but would have to say It feel's like I've know her all my life. When I was Co. Chairing the National in Nashville in 2008 Mary was the one who often kept me sane and also from wanting to blow my top off at times. My main memory of Mary is side stage at the National ready for results. We had so much fun each night and she kept us all happy. I am so glad to have had mary as part of my life and will never forget her. I envy the people who knew her for so much longer than I did. I don't think New England will ever be the same without her. Rest Mary and continue to keep us all together as friends.
Philip

We will always remember you!

Mary always had a perpetual smile and her passion and humor at dancing competitions always stuck out in my mind. Mary has been an inspiration to all of us. We will never forget "Mary Mac"! My condolences and sympathies go out to her family and friends.

Mary's Kindness

Geraldine Aug 12, 2009

The Bronx Irish are a close clan even if you move to Massachusetts. Mary and I both belonged to this group. When I returned from my dad's NY funeral Mary had already heard through her family that my dad had passed away. When I brought Nora to her first class after his death Mary took a moment to offer her condolences. I was so touched that her and her family took the time to pass on the news and offer me some comfort at a difficult time. We were fairly new to the school and this was just so unexpected. Since then I have learned that this was typical of Mary. She had the ability to reach out and touch others.

I had never seen the practice of carring the deceased on the shoulders of their loved ones until I attended my Aunt's funeral in Leitrim. At Mary's funeral her family also hoisted the casket on to their shoulders and also carried her out of the church. An Irish tradition and tribute so well deserved.

I feel fortuante that my daughter Nora and I had the opportunity to know Mary. She was such an inspiration on how to live life.

I pray that her family and friends find comfort in that she is at peace at last.

Being your friend was a gift!

Erin Pender-LeVine Aug 09, 2009

I will miss your laugh, your smile, and the way we could talk about everything and anything for hours. I will miss our late nights and the way you took an extra few minutes to make everyone you met feel so special. I will miss your accent and our inside jokes. I will miss your great stories and the way you were always looking for fun. I will miss the way you had more energy then anyone all day long and the fact that nobody would have ever known you were not feeling well. Your friendship meant the world to me and I feel like we only just got started.
Our car ride to the World in Philadelphia will live with me forever. Miss Mary Mac was the real deal and New England will never be the same....

My Memory Liam Harney

Liam Harney Aug 07, 2009

My Memory of Mary will always be of a person who truely appreciated the life and time that she had while she was here. She lived by the rule "don't sweat the small stuff". Many people try to live this way unsuccessfully but Mary seemed to live by this rule effortlessly. I admire Mary in many unspoken ways but thank her for the impact that she continues to make on my life.

I will always remember Mary at the New London Feis as a kid. She was a great dancer and she was one we will always remember. With the most heartfelt sympathies I pray for Mary's family. Her parents were good friends with my parents. They knew how to dance the heck out of it and have a good time. A kitchen racket was always a good time, even if it was in a tent or on a feis stage at the end of a long day feising.

I hope my icon brought a smile to your face Mary. I know what you are saying and I am laughing right here with you. Miss you.

Love Liam
