Matthew Beaudoin Tribute

Beaudoin, a Red Sox fan, was struck and killed by the vehicle of an angry Yankees fan outside a New Hampshire bar. 
His girlfriend Donna Dionne called her boyfriend of 12 years her “rock” after the support he gave when her 29-year-old brother Robert died last year.

Dionne said Beaudoin’s friends, who witnessed the horror, told her the confrontation was sparked when Hernandez punched a female pal of Beaudoin’s outside the bar.

Dionne said her boyfriend tried breaking up the fight, but when Hernandez got into her 1997 Dodge Intrepid and he saw a Yankees sticker in the back, he and friends jokingly chanted “Yankees suck!”

“He was just mocking her,” said Dionne.

But instead of driving away, Hernandez allegedly turned her car around, revved the engine and sped at the group, slamming into Beaudoin. He died from massive head trauma later that day at the hospital with Dionne at his side.
