PFC Salada Jul 04, 2008

I was in Germany with Touma and had hung out with her a few times and BBQ'd with her a few times also and from what I knew of her, she was a sweet, funny, and energetic person that was so excited to have that baby.... I remember the night before we left Germany to come to Iraq, she came in my room to say her good byes to all the guys and myself because she was goin back to the states and told us all to be careful... I wish I could of had more time to get to know her a little better but I know that the time I did spend with her was fun... She was a great person and I know she will be greatly missed... RIP Megan Touma!

FORT BRAGG Soldier

Concerned Soldier Jul 03, 2008

I am a Soldier stationed in Fort Bragg, N.C. This is a very sad thing that has happened to this young girl. I know the police will find the killer and he will be punished. I would like everyone not to forget what the Officer in Charge of the 19th replacement failed to do!! That's not running an organized company. She should be FIRED and yes Officers can be FIRED... This story is just another example of how the U.S. Military is soo unorganized. We have to start holding Officers and NonCommissioned Officers accountable. I have been in the Army for more than a year now and all I have seen is the hire ranking Soldier's be unorganized theirselves or just saying they can't do anything about it. This is crazy. GOD BLESS SPC Touma

Friends and Family

Teresa Jul 03, 2008

I am asking that all of Megan's friends and family know that there are people on here (Greg Barnes and others) sending messeges to anyone that knew Megan, asking questions, please don't answer them. They are reporters who don't actually care about what happened, they just want a story. Megan and her little one deserve better than that. They deserve to be able to rest in peace together, not just be a story for some reporter who's just trying to break their big story. Out of respect for Megan, out of love for her and her unborn little angel, please ignore these people, tell them to leave you alone, whatever it takes. R.I.P. Megan and Little One.

My Memory

Julie Jul 02, 2008

This news shocked me. I saw Megan's picture in the news and swore I new her. It's then that I realized that this person was the girl I knew as PVT Heine in Basic Training. I finished many runs next to Megan and will never forget her enduring spirit and passion for both running and life. It's such a tragedy and I will forever miss one of my battle buddies being here on earth. My thoughts and prayers are with Megan's family and I hope closure is soon brought.

Her beautiful bright smile

Jasamin Jul 02, 2008

I was stationed with Megan in Fort Drum, NY .We were close friends. She was a very kind and giving person. She and her ex-husband invited me over for dinner on my last night in the Army & on Fort Drum... What a sad, tragic loss. I'm stunned and bewildered that my friend Megan, was MURDERED! she didn't just die- someone took her from us. I hope the zodiak wanna-be rots in hell!

Senseless

To Megan:

This really hit me hard. I was best friends with Maria Lauterbach, the marine that was 8 months pregnant that was murdered. When I heard about it happening to another Armed Service Member, my heart sank. The question on everyone's mind is why? And we'll never know. But I'm sure He has a plan for you and your unborn child. I know family and friends want you home, but in their hearts, they know you are in a better place. Although I did not know you, I feel as if I do since this is repeating and the nightmare starts over just when it was starting to settle. May you and your baby Rest in Peace and find some comfort in knowing that you are safe from harm and that Justice WILL BE served. It might take a while, it might not. But just know you will never be forgotten and that your killer will get what is coming to them...

To Family and Friends:

I know this is a hard time. But in time, things will get better, although you will be forever saddended by the loss of Megan and her child. I lost someone in almost the same scenario and let me just tell you that I'm hurting for all of you and Megan and her baby. But with that comes ANGER! WHY?! I don't understand why people can be so heartless and just do this to anyone, let alone pregnant women (this is becoming all too common). Just keep your heads up and be there for one another and stay strong. This is much easier said than done, but just know that they both are safe now and in a better place where they can't be hurt, even though we want them here. My arms are always open because I DO know what it's like to lose someone very close to you. It's just ironic that they were both in the Armed Forces and were both pregnant. But most important of all, they were beautiful, wonderful heroes and will be great mothers to their babies. God Bless you; you are all in my prayers...

I went to high school with Megan. Although she was a year younger than me I still seen her all the time. I rememeber being a teachers aid in one of her classes my senior year. She was always a very sweet and kind girl! Everytime I seen her she always wore a smile on her face! Her and her family will always be in my family's hearts, thoughts and prayers! WE LOVE YOU MEGAN!
