About

Harvey

A Briton has been found dead in Goa, two weeks after the half-naked body of a British teenager was discovered on the south Indian state’s popular Anjuna beach.

Police said that Michael Harvey, 34, was found dead on his bed on Saturday in a beach hut near Ashwem beach, a popular backpacker haunt about half an hour’s drive north of Anjuna.

Bosco George, the superintendent of police for North Goa, told The Times that a post-mortem examination had shown that Mr Harvey died of pulmonary and cerebral oedema.“As of now, we do not suspect any foul play,” he said.

However, he said that police had sent blood and other samples to be tested for alcohol and narcotics at a forensic science laboratory and would not close the case until the results came through.

Dear Mike. I was having a chat with your mam and dad the other day. They are such special people my friend. I was over in manchester a few weeks back. And with col and steve's blessing, they gave to me a ring which belonged to you. I will always treasure it mike, it was difficult to face your mam and dad at first, because in have known them both for over 25 years and it was the first time, since your passing. We shared some memories about you, i do hope that it helped them in some way. I was chattin and having a few beers with your col and rach aswell, you were with us all in spirit, i was at time day dreaming about some of the things we got up to as kids, do you remember what we were like,, happy day's eh. it is wonderful for me to have a possession of your's for keep sakes, because we all like to keep hold of a little piece of our childhoods, you played a big part in mine, i just wish that we could have seen more of each other in adulthood. I will always stay in touch with your family, they are a strong unit as you well know mike. Im hoping that colin and rach can come down to where i now live in cornwall this summer, it will be great to see them. Mike my friend forever in my thoughts, Best wishes steve and family x
