Chance encounter

I met Michael at the execution of Caryl Chessman when we were blocking the road and both about to be run over by a state car. I was fifteen and he was twenty. Michael was clever, generous of soul and very beautiful. Of course i developed a tremendous crush. To his credit he made us friends and thereby shared his world with me -- its love of politics, of poetry, of thought, of music. He helped me to see what a well lived life could be. I feel his ended much too soon.

althought i hade only met you a hand ful of times.....the last, at my father's, john wyatt ceramony...was the most impactive in my mind.....you and my father were very close, when you both were very young and basicaly unscathed my life...now you are together again, with lee woodie, my cousin...you know him...and you will love what my father has done with his (after)life....love to those left behind, and joy in the unscathed after where we all shall met again......melody wyatt

During the FSM when many classes were cancelled, Michael organized an alternative class with the title "The Nature of God and the Logarithmic Spiral". I always wondered what that was about and now I'll never know.
