A. When he started singing at a young age ( with his brothers) he has stated in several interviews that his father reined over all of their home rehearsls with a belt. I find that very disturbing and sad. The children were all talented but were driven beyond their personal drive by thier father. He loved his mother dearly. There were 8 siblings and obvious age span between them. As the older brothers aged and moved out of the house, Michael was still there withhis father and mother. I am betting that the mother had a hard time reining in the father when he went "OFF" on the children verbally and physically. Michael obviously never was able to experience a childhood without constant work/rehearsals which is why he created NeverLand~so he could be a child and never grow up! Bless his soul and the ones he loved.

A. I believe that he was close to his mom and brother jermaine and his sister janet and i agree with you mary that they had no time to grow up as children should especially michael.
