About Percy Christopher Glassenbury
He was our role model
My grandad was such a loving and caring person. He had a late wife which sadly died of cancer, and my grandad was devastated! He then met my nan however, and he had what he had always wanted, a family. Although they were not his biological children, he treated them as his own, and they all refer to him as dad. He helped them all out, and never treated them as anything other as his chidren, his family with the new women he loved dearly. He done the same for his grand children. He did have a special bond with two on them especailly through seperate reasons. His grandson Lewis is severly disabled, and everytime lewis heard his voice his face would light up. My grandad loved to play with him. His other was me (Letitia), we were very close as neither of us had what we wanted. He wanted a child of his own, and i wanted a father to be there. We always said he was the dad i never had, and was the daughter he never had. He still loved his other grand children very much, and would never have treated them different.
On the day he was taken from us in the BRI, he was with the two people he cared for the most, His sweetheart and long life partner Jill, and me. We held his hand and told him we loved him, as he shut his tired and weary eyes!
We all miss him very much, and we know he is around with us, and looks out for us all the time he can. He will forever be in our hearts, and can never be replaced. He was one in a million.
Goodnight grandad, and rest your tired eyes, and enjoy being reunited with your parents. we love and miss you forever!
