Phil Frank, whose beloved "Farley" cartoon ran in the San Francisco Chronicle newspaper for 32 years, died of a brain tumor.

Frank had stopped drawing "Farley" as well as the "Elderberries" only recently due to his serious illness.

Dear Susan, what human words can express my feelings. Ok... here are some; a man traveled far from his beloved Sausalito to sit on the floor of my den in Montana and put some order to chaotic mess. He said he might as well jack up the rented RV and spin the wheels for all the use it had gotten. The Christmas card of you on his back in the sunset at the beach sat on my mantle for years. He won't mind you coming again. My prayers are for you.
