God bless our friends in RCMP who put their lives at risk each day to protect us. Cst Scott you will always be in our hearts and prayers. Rest in Peace my friend.
ILL NEVER FORGET HIS SMILE! EVERYTIME I WOULD SEE HIM HED ALWAYS HAVE THAT AMZING SMILE ON HIS FACE! HE WAS A GREAT GUY THAT EVERYONE IS GOIN TO MISS ALOT..HIS MEMORY WILL LIVE ON IN ALL OF US!
I only knew Doug for a short time but I will always remember him for his smile. A beautiful young man who has had an impact on many. My thoughts and prayers to the family.
As a civilian whose brother, cousin and friends have served in the RCMP, and as a father whose daughter wishes to join the RCMP, I am both angry and deeply saddended by events in our North that led to the loss of two officers in the last month.
I do hope the officers' families, relatives, friends and their RCMP family can find comfort in knowing these fine men were carrying out their dream of serving and protecting the public in the finest police force in the world.
I have the deepest admiration and respect for all members of the past, present and future and only wish that I could wave a magic wand and prevent an occurence like this from ever happening again.
Of course, the nature of society itself dictates that it will. These fine men will always be remembered proudly by those that knew them....and those that did not.
The prayers of a nation are extended now and I wish you comfort in that.
