My favorite memory of Raymond is one that brings a smile to my face. On the evening of my cousin Laura's wedding, family and friends were dancing to the music and enjoying the evening. Raymond saw that I was sitting at a table rather than dancing, and immediately came over and grabbed my hand.
He insisted that we go out on the dance floor and he would teach me his famous dance moves. We danced that night, and to this day I think of Raymond when dancing, especially at weddings.

an outdoors person at heart. I love
making dirt in my compost pile and
my favorite chore is driving Ray’s
old beater pickup truck to the dump.
I moved Dad (age 94) to California
from Urbana and have renovated a
turkey coop into a studio apartment
for him ... . We do get along well
and I am pleased to be able to take
care of him in this lovely place. My
goal is to outlive him, which may not
be easily done as he remains very
fit!”
