My Mother was the most caring, loving, laughing person I have ever known. She loved to pull pranks on all 4 of us kids & then her grandkids.Sometimes she could scare us half to death or make us laugh until we would pee our pants. She loved to whistle & would whistle gospel, country & it was so beautiful. I LOVE and MISS YOU SO MUCH. R.I.P. GOD BLESS..Juanice
Mamaw was the most wonderful Mamaw ever. I can remember she starteled easy if you meet her in that long hall she's jump and say ew,when you get here you little booger! She always was so happy to see you . She was such an awesome cook I haven't had food like hers anywhere else, I still miss elderberry jelly. She loved having someone fix her hair that gave her alot of joy. I miss you everyday.....
I remember her smile, and her laugh. I think I miss that most about her. And no one cooked like she did. sunday dinners, with peach cobbler! boy howdy that was good eatin! once when I was teasing her she reached to the inside of my arm and both pinched and twisted at the same time! dang that hurt! but I also knew it meant she loved me.
The one thing i will never forget is the time she told us the story of her picking up and rolling something with her fingers not knowing what it was and then smelling it and come to find out it was ball of monkey poop..LOL..she told me that story over and over and i still laugh to this day.I tell my boys that same story...Anyone remember that??? And her always saying DADBURN......
i remember coming down to there house in stratford and she would get me a piece of cheese, she would pull out that old cheese cutter with a piece of wire and cut me a big o hunk, also she would send me and tracy to the peach fest. and get more of those peach ice creams by the time we would walk back they would be melted and all over us and she would just laugh at us, (god has blessed this family in alot of ways .)
I remember sitting on the front porch at there house and snapping green beans. OMG it would be hot as hell out side and mamaw would be sweating and still snapping green beans. Oh how I miss her and Papaw..
I always remember Reba's laugh. She was a fun-hearted person. I remember how faithfully she was beside Fred while he fished or hunted. They were quite a pair.
I remember my aunt Reba as always smiling and laughing. She loved her family and loved to have company come. She could really skin those fish and oh my what a wonderful cook she was. One of my favorite memories of her was when I was a kid ( and that is a long time ago) but we went to her house for dinner. I can almost taste it to this day. Fried chicken, and all the good stuff out of the garden. New potatoes, okra and corn on the cop. Boy it would make me happy to go back and visit that day. She was a pearl and I love her dearly.

Gone, but not forgotten

This pain, I cannot hide
In memory, I see you
A million tears, I’ve cried.
The tender thoughts you left me
Come to my memory
Your loving smile, so precious
Will always be with me.
You visit me in summer
When flowers are in bloom
Upon a ray of sunshine
A star-lit night in June.
When winds are gently blowing
Across a cloudless sky
Within a rolling meadow
Where horse and cattle lie.
I see you in the treetops
As summer comes to be
In shadows, you do linger
A soul so young and free.
I see you in the garden
Your scent does fill the air
Just like a precious flower
A rose, so ever fair.
On country roads, I find you
Along the wooded lane
Within the distant thunder
I see you in the rain.
In early hush of morning
You come without a sound
Upon a blazing sunset
Your memory can be found.
Like sprigs of morning glory
Upon the vine, they grow
With branches reaching outward
Into my heart, you go.
Just like a special angel
God wrapped you in His care
And took you off to heaven
To live with Him, up there.
But often, I still see you
Upon a light blue sky
And long so much to hold you
Why did you have to die?
