When you left us so abruptly

Did you know how much we loved you

So tenderly and completely

When you died we didn't know what to do

I knew your body was already heavenly

But a part of me wanted it not to be true

When you would call your voice was spoken so lovingly

With a soft whisper too

You always encouraged me to love unconditionally

But do you really know how much I loved you

This was something I would ask with doubt and uncertainty

I know I loved you totally and completely but did I tell you

Not a day goes by that I don't ask myself that daily

Did you really know I loved you!
