I was looking for words of comfort while thinking about my own son, Tyler Nichols, who died on June 21, 2008, and came across the poem written by Rhys' father. I was so touched. My son was an American high school football player and played on the state championship team of 2007. Our community lost another football player a few years earlier whose name was Kale Powell. Last year we lost a coach, Jared Pierce, who coached all of my boys. All in one little community, Guthrie, Oklahoma, America. They are not the only losses, but I just wanted to say that the team is nearly complete. Whether it's America or UK, God must have needed his own team. May God bless and keep the Jones family and those who have lost children. Now we are all in the same, unfortunate, club together.
I was in Manchester when this horror unfolded. I'm just a Stewardess from America, but I hurt so much for his family at this time. His picture goes with me all the time, and I think of him often; Especially when I don my Everton jersey to cheer the Toffees!!!
I love you baby boy!!
God bless this family and may they find who murdered this poor little soul.Children are being murdered more and more every day and if it ain't abuse it's gang related violence. Why do people have to be so dam cruel in this world? The parents of the murder was obviously not raising thier child right and it led him to commit a crime on an innocent child.God bless with lots of love and you will always be in my heart and prayers.
