We are shocked and so very sad for Rhys' parents, and family. We would like to give our condolences to you all and our thoughts and prayers are with you at this very sad time. God Bless you and give you strength.
Tribute from a family in Crosby, Liverpool
Aug 25, 2007
I cannot even begin to understand how you are feeling at this sad time, but I know you will be in tremendous pain. Nothing has touched me so much and brought me to tears. What a waste of life - an innocent child, on his way home after a training session with his local football team. I pray that the evil person responsible for Rhys' death is brought to justice and appeal to the Liverpool community to come together and offer any help to the police . God, take care of this little boy, whose life has been cut short so tragically. My thoughts are with Rhys' mother, father, brother and the rest of this family.
As a dad who lost a child I know the pain that you are going through. Nothing will take that away but time will make it easier. Memories will help you get through. God bless
Every so often God needs a new star,
he picks them carefully, he knows who they are.
Then with all of the angels to give him a hand,
he takes them to forever land
Watch over your family till you all in peace again
good nite son

My heart goes out to all the family and friend's of this gorgeous little man, such a waste of a life, why does this sort of thing happen, where do 16 year old's get gun's, and worse still what posseses them to use them on such an innocent little boy comming home from football practice, a young boy who had his whole life infront of him, who gave that animal the right to take this little boy's life, a young boy who seemed to be have been loved by a lot of people, lived life to the full and brought a lot of happiness and joy to a lot of people's life. I'm absolutley speechless, may this animail rot in hell for ever and ever, and may the Jones family find peace and comfort from knowing that justice must be done and let's get that animail put in a cage where he rightly belong's
My thoughts are with all the family at this sad time. It is such a terrible tragedy. Let's hope that all of us in Liverpool realise that this could happen to anyone at anytime. I hope the mindless thugs responsible are caught for this and get the punishment they deserve. The family are so brave I admire them so much.
