Memories of Ronald J. Arbogast

The Deal-Finder

Kristen Hanlin Sep 24, 2009

Uncle Ronald was always going to flea markets, yard sales, and auctions to find really great deals. Once, I went to visit when he had just arrived from one of these adventures where he had purchased some jewelry. One necklace he particularly liked, and he'd gotten a great deal on it. He said "Kris, I can't find the magnifying glass; look at this tag, what does it say? Does it say 10K or 14K?" Well, I read it and said, "It says Avon." He and Aunt Donna laughed so hard about that, then he said, "Well, I guess we didn't strike it rich this time!" I really miss him!

I remember when we told Sebastian & Julian what cancer was because Uncle Ronald was sick and taking them to visit him in the hospital and at home. And when they talk about their loved ones in Heaven, especially their sister, they have often said that Uncle Ronald is with them.

Igloo

Shawn Arbogast Sep 26, 2008

I can remember one of the big snow storms when I was little. It had snowed for several days in a row and Dad finally had a day off work. We went outside to plow and shovel (well really Dad did the work) and then play in the snow a little. We took one of the snow piles and turned it into an Igloo. The Igloo was big enough for Dad to just barely get his head in and our dog was able to come in also
