About

RUGER

Ruger had so much energy for everything, he always had to be on the go at all times... He had an incredible smile & so much strength & enthusiasm. Ruger loved being outside, he loved to go to the skatepark & ride around on his skooter following all of the big kids & Coy.

Ruger loved to play football with his brother Coy all the time & there were times that he actually took Coy down, during the summer he would also play Basketball, Baseball & Soccer with Coy as well, those two loved to stay busy & loved to tease each other.  In the evening Ruger & Coy would always have a wrestling match with dad that could last hours....

Ruger always loved to help out with anything he could, he would help dad fill the vending machine & would get mad if anyone else tried to help, he was always there when you needed a hand.

Ruger had no fear what so ever, & he was such a little tease. To him life was a race, and he knew if anyone could do it..... he could.

Now that he is with our father in heaven I can here Ruger's favorite phrase being yelled down at me....   I WON..... YOU LOST.....  We love you ruger & will see you again.

We have figured out what we will be doing for Rugers Bday this year - since his Bday falls on a sunday it will be set up for 2 days, everyone is invited for both days but you can decide what you would like to do.....
Sunday November 15th
We will be having Cake & Ice cream here at our house around 5pm we will then head to the Cemetary to light candles & send off balloons
Monday November 16th
We will meet everyone at Classic Skating in Orem (Ruger would have loved this place with his scooter) we will meet there around 6:30 it is family night on monday so the cost is $10 per family from 4-9pm

Also, we will be donating his bday gifts to families in need again this year so if you would like to bring a gift you can (please don't feel like you have to) you can also drop off gifts to any family member if you would like to donate, we will be collecting gifts starting now until his bday.

Thanks everyone for all of the love & support that has been givin.

ALWAYS SMILING

Crystal Jenkins and family Aug 04, 2009

Ruger always had a bright smile. Sometimes mischevious smile. He could always put a smile on your face even if you were having the worst of worst days. He always seemed to catch your attention somehow. He was also always sneaking into your drink. Mainly Christy's and it was funny because he would start to down it as soon as she wasn't looking. Even if it was cold coffee. You would turn aroung and all of a sudden not know where our drink was. It was great. He made me laugh every time i'd seen him. He always gave me a comfortable feeling. We love and miss you so much Ruger. We are always watching for you when the stars come out at night.

One Year

Christy Jun 28, 2009

Well we made it through the first year, it was tough but we had so much support, on the year mark we were able to put a plaque under the tree that AF city let us put in down at the skatepark... it was amazing! we had so many people show up... Ruger just keeps amazing us... in this past year Lehi city made him a blanket out of the shirts he wore for sports, we had an amazing turn out on his bday & was able to donate all of the gifts to a 3 year old with cancer, AF city allowed us to plant a tree & plaque for him, in texas where he passed away there was a scout troup that made stuffed animals & took them to the hospital he passed away at & donated them in rugers name, the organization Safe Kids World Wide has asked us to be parent advocates & is sharing Rugers story in Washington DC & the AF city baseball league just had there closing ceremonies & told rugers story & presented us with a shirt & hat from the Pittsburgh Pirates which all of the kids signed.... it has been an amazing journey & he has touched so many lives... we are so thankful we were givin the time we had with our amazing son....
