Q. What was Ryan Baumann's first job? Did he/she like it?
Q. What did Ryan Baumann dream of doing with his/her life?
Q. If Ryan Baumann could have any job, what do you think he/she could have done?
Q. What do you think would have been a good/alternative job for Ryan Baumann?
A. I've only recently realized this, but Ryan would have made a good photojournalist (much like Justin, who was with Ryan's unit over in Afghanistan). Ryan loved photography (and was good at it) and liked to travel. Either that or just a photographer, but I think being a photojournalist would have given him more excitement, which I think he would have needed to enjoy life.

Q. How did Ryan Baumann change through his/her school years?
Q. Where did Ryan Baumann go to school?
Q. What was Ryan Baumann's family life like?
Q. Did Ryan Baumann have siblings? Were they close?
A. Yes, Ryan did have a sister (me). My name is Christie and I'm 2 years older than Ryan. We didn't get along all the time growing up (as much as most siblings do), but by my senior year in High School (Ryan's freshman year), we got along pretty well. Throughout the time after that (including me going to college and Ryan joining the Army), Ryan was very supportive of me. We were a lot alike, or at least I think so. We both had the same compassion for others that I think he recognized while he was deployed in both Iraq and Afghanistan. We also both quietly hoped that our parents would get over their differences (we had both talked about it). Ryan was always there for me to talk to when I needed someone who had been through the same childhood as me. (He also frequently backed me up when I knew my mom had said something she "forgot" she said. :o) ) I guess I always assumed he would always be around to talk to. Unfortunately after he got back from Iraq, he didn't call as much, and the day he left for Afghanistan was the last time I heard his voice. I wish I had had the chance to talk to him while he was in Afghanistan like I did when he was in Iraq. But, hindsight is 20/20, as they say.

A. Ryan's favorite "art" would have been photography, though he did enjoy drawing. He liked listening to music, but not creating it. I remember, as kids, we would memorize entire songs (usually from movie sountracks and usually with more than one voice) and sing them to our parents.

A. Ryan wasn't much of a museum lover, unless it involved something he liked (i.e., the Spy Museum, aeronoutical museums, and some children's museums). I don't remember him trying weird cuisine (as a kid he wouldn't), but I think he'd try "normal" things.
