About

Broken Chain

We knew little that morning that God was going to call your name,

In life we loved you dearly, in death we do the same.

It broke our hearts to lose you, you did not go alone,

For part of us went with you, the day God called you home.

You left us peaceful memories, your love is still our guide,

And though we cannot see you, you are always at our side.

Our family chain is broken, and nothing seems the same,

But as God calls us one by one, the chain will link again.

Growing Up With Ryan

Melissa Oct 22, 2008

I will always remember Ryan with a smile on his face. He was always laughing, even as my dad shaved his head bald one summer with a dog shaver :) The best memories I have of him were the times the four of us (me, Rachael, Ryan, and Matt) spent together as little kids. I can still remember him in his family's old Nebraska home, teasing Rachael every chance he could get, but at the end of the day he loved his sister and would never let anything hurt her.
I miss the summer when my family would go to MO to visit the Watson's. Ryan always made the time fun. Even if it meant having mastivious plans. One night while I was sleeping in my grandparents living room alone, Ryan and Matt conjoured an evil plan to wear masks and scare me. Good thing they were smart enough to know better, or grandma would have taught them a lesson!
The last time I saw Ryan was a miracle. I can remember how everytime he came to Omaha, I never got the chance to see him. But for some reason God brought him to me so I could see him one more time. I was in the neighborhood firework stand on the 4th of July trying to find last minute fireworks, when I ran into him. That night he spent with my family blowing up our front lawn with his illegal fireworks :)
I will never forget Ryan and all the good memories he has given to his family in Omaha. Seeing him in NE was always a special occassion, and I only wish I could have spent more time with him before his journey ended. But I know he will be heaven when I get there scaring little girls and lighting boom booms!

My Memory

Melissa Oct 21, 2008

Ryan always had a smile on his face, even when his uncle Eric shaved his head bald one summer with a dog shaver. He laughed at everything, and I will never forget the times the four of us (me, Rachael, Ryan, and Matt) spent together growing up. How we loved going to MO in the summer to visit Ryan and his family! Those are memories that I will never forget!

The one memory that love is the time that ryan and i were on the jet ski's and where just having fun! when of course i went and got hurt. I will never forget how quickly Ryan jumped in to the water to help me and make sure i was okay, and all the funny things he said to make me feel better. Even though he always liked to tease me i knew he was always there to watch over me and make sure no one was being mean to his little sis! I would have never imagined i could miss being teased so much!
