Sage Marie Rompilla Tribute

Sage Marie Rompilla was born November 27, 2007. When she was 3 months old we noticed something wasn't right. Her doctor reffered us to a neurologist. She had several blood tests done, and nothing was showing up and was then sent to Children's Hospital of Philadelphia, PA. The Neurologist there admitted her after seeing her, and she was given an EEG right away. They found signs of subtle seizures and started given her Topamax. This seemed to help her alot right away. They also gave her an MRI, Spinal Tap, and some more blood tests. There was nothing else besides the sublte seizures that were found. She had trouble with her vision and developmental skills. She was 6 months and considered a newborn. She was receiving Vision Therapy, Physical Therapy, and just about ready to receive Occupational Therapy, when she passed away from a seizure on August 20, 2008 at 8 months old.
