I still miss you my Mom

Sandy, I have been searching for a reason why you came into my life. You came into my life and in what seemed like a blink of an eye, you were gone. At our age new friendships are rare. A new friend, new memories. We hit it off right away and little did we know what was in store for us. What a fantastic trip we had -- chasing that elusive love affair with the KING! As your sister so aptly put it, it was meant to be.

It's been a year, and I still see the sparkle in your eyes.
How they shined when you talked about those you love.
How you did everything for everyone. And asked so little in return.
You were in your element making people laugh.
And your laugh was contagious. I hear it every time I giggle.
I know you're looking down on us, together with Mom and
I know we couldn't have better guardian angels.

My Parent...
My hand once so tiny,
held yours so tightly those first years
but there came a time to let it go
To let me go out, to face my fears

So I took my walk into the world
And I knew it broke your heart
But I always knew that youd be there
We were not ever really apart

Yes I have learned some of life's hard lessons
I have felt such pain and such despair
but with your strength and guidance
Each fall was easier to bear

I have also had such happiness
The most joy was shared with you
I am so thankful for the times we had
You are a treasure of which there are few!

And so it is my turn
To let your hand go and be on my way
But I know you will be waiting
until I come back to you someday.

You are a rare woman.
A wonderful, devoted, loving inspiration.
To know you is most definitely to love you.

Thank you for your love.
Unbound, a gift we treasure.
Not ever has someone been able to fill the tiniest things with more love than you.

You have blessed us as a model of courage, for that by your example, you have shown us we do not need to fear what lies ahead in our lives.

You have shown us a strength that we have never seen before. May we have the strength to endure our life challenges with the great strength that you did.

Thank you for your guidance, which we are grateful for, and will always treasure and carry with us the rest of our lives.

You have taught us not to take life for granted.
You always gave to others, and never took much for yourself.

Your greatest happiness was always family, and you will always have all of your family close by, as you live in our hearts.

We are forever grateful that you blessed our lives with your love, laughter, guidance, selflessness, and generosity.

MOM…

There has been just one person in my life,
Never more than a phone call away,
And I’d like to take the chance to tell you
Some things I did not always say…

Even though there had been times,
When we did not quite agree,
No matter what we said or did,
I want you to know how much you mean to me.

You made sure we had the best of things,
And believe me now I have no doubt,
That for everything that we did receive,
There was something you went without.

And even though I did not always say it,
Know that you are always in my heart,
Whether you are right here with me,
Or we are now a breath apart

To have everything you deserved in life,
Was my wish for you each day,
And I now take this time,
For one more thing to say….

I love you mom with all my heart,
In my heart, I feel you will always know
No matter what happens in the days to come,
My love for you will continue to grow!
