My husband and myself have gone to the Columbus Ohio races (Hebron - now Norwalk) and Indy for over 20 years. I missed Scott when he "retired". We were at Indy when Blaine Johnson was lost to the racing community and my hubby is at Norwalk this weekend (I was not able to go). I cannot imagine any other pain as great as losing a family member this young. I have three grown children and it would kill me if something happened to them before me. I have always been ready to go first, as it should be. Our hearts and prayers are with the Kalitta family. May God grant you some comfort in knowing that Scott could not have experienced any suffering. I hope his children will someday understand that their father was doing something he loved. Most of us never get to "love" our work, it is just something we HAVE to do. God Speed to all the Kalittas.

Scott was a man that we all look up to in the drag racing world . I love drag racing and hope that it will never stop and thank to the brave man that strap in the 8000 hp breast gives us thrills and dreams of do it ourselfs . Scott we love and miss you . Although we never actually met Scott we could tell he was a truly loved drag racing. He will be missed but never forgotten. Our deepest sympathies go out to all who loved and new Scott. Glen and Sheila
