Selena Quintanilla-Perez Tribute

Born Selena Quintanilla-Perez was born in Texas.  She began singing at the age of 6, and was signed by EMI at 12.  In 1987 Selena was Female Vocalist of the Year at the Tejano Music Awards.  She was signed to Coca Colas in 1989, and was regularly drawing several thousand people to her concerts.  In 1988 she met Chris Perez, a guitarist who eventually began playing in her band.  They fell in love and married in 1992.  In all, she released 10 albums before she was murdered tragically at the age of 23.
