Obituary
Sheila Ruth Clark, 59, a native of Lebanon, MO., and a resident of DeQuincy died Thursday, April 9, 2009, at her residence in DeQuincy. She was a member of Eastern Heights Baptist Church. Sheila will forever be remembered as a loving, happy and outgoing lady that was full of life. She loved playing BINGO, gardening, sewing and was an excellent cook. Her family will forever cherish the memories of her tomato gravy, pizza and cornbread dressing. She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother and sister and will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her and each life that she touched in her own special way.
She was the daughter of the late Elwin Chastain and the late Nina Jennings Chastain.
She is survived by her husband of more than 42 years, Larry Clark of DeQuincy; four daughters, Lorretta Causey and her huband Mike of DeRidder, Shari Eder and her husband Allen of Longville, Chasity LeJeune and her huband Danny of Vinton, Paulette Clark and her fiance Michael Fountain of Starks; two sons, Larry Paul Clark and his wife Mary of Longville and Jeffery Wade Clark and his wife Kari of DeQuincy; two sisters, Jackie Vogt and her husband David of Olathe, Kan. and Tammy Spartz and her husband Kevin of Grain Valley, Mo.; 15 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one son, Leslie Clark; one grand-daughter, Megan Yates; and one brother, Eddie McCollough.
The family will receive friends 3-10 p.m. Sunday, April 12, at Eastern Heights Baptist Church and 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Monday, April 13, at the church. Funeral service will be at Eastern Heights Baptist Church at 2 p.m. Monday, April 13, with the Revs. Jimmy Clark and Ron Fox officiating. Interment will be at Good Hope Cemetery in Singer.
