Sherrill Headrick was a great man from the way my dad talked about him. I met him a few times and he was a great friend of my dad, Mike Henry. I want to go to TCU thanks to him. You are surely missed Sherrill.
For all the football exploits, it has been left unsaid that as tough as he was in football,he was equally formidable as a Bridge player. After his football years he was a champion bridge player..!!
I met Sherrill in KC when I worked for the Pro Bowlers Tour. He was a real fan of bowling and knew several of the bowling stars. He would sit in the stands all day and root for the guys. He was a great guy and we partied a couple of times together. Lost track of him over the years and thought I would look him up throught the internet. Didn't know that he passed away, so sorry to hear that. God Bless him.
To a great tough football player, a good friend and a gentleman. I hope ypu and Uncle Bob Smith are having a glass of whiskey together in the clouds and talking about the good old days at KC, TCU and MSU.
