Since October 11, 2007 I feel that Guru is with us (his students and friends) more than ever before. It is true that before we could see him and learn from him on the physical plane but now we feel Him and see Him very near to us. He taught us always to live in the heart and not in a doubting mind. If we live in the heart our inner journey continues and expedites and every day we wake up for a new ever transcending goal in our lives. As the new year begins I feel more enthusiasm and gratitude to the Sri Chinmoy who gave us everything we need and much more than we can ever understand.
Thank you, Guru, for every second in our lives. You showed us the goal in life and as a personal guardian you never leave us till we reach the Highest.
Sri Chinmoy has left a legacy, one that brings hope, a dream and a vision of humanity united in oneness in service to others. Holding this belief within the depths of our heart's aspiring harmony-lovers need to tirelessly manifest this belief so as to bring lasting happiness and fulfilment to our earth--home.
Sri Chinmoy spoke and wrote a lot about the possibility of a better more fulfilling future for mankind, but it was his own personal example, his own 'walking the talk', that made the possibility real in the eyes of his students and friends.
From his landmark achievements like his weightlifting feats or his prolific poetic output, right down to little gestures like a smile or an apparently off-the-cuff remark which later proves to have enormous significance in the life of the addressed individual, every action came from a source of vastness and stillness inside him which like a magnet drew the higher and deeper parts of your own being to the fore.
Being with him, you experienced first-hand that all of these nebulous concepts like the soul, Eternity, inner peace - concepts which hover around in the mind incapable of being proved or disproved - were for real.
I would offer a final thank you, but it is not finished. I have still so much to learn and you have still so much to teach me. I can only, from the bottom of my heart, thank you for what you have done so far.
