Stephen Liczbinski Tribute

Sgt. Stephen Liczbinski, 39, a 12-year veteran of the Philadelphia Police Department, was shot and killed May 3, 2008, as he confronted a band of robbers who had held up a bank branch in Port Richmond. A Northeast Philadelphia resident, Liczbinski was assigned to the 24th District in the Port Richmond section of the city and had recently been promoted to sergeant. He would have turned 40 on May 6. He is survived by his wife, Michelle, and their children, Matt, Steven and Amber.
