Sylvia Rymar Tribute

I remember visting Sylvia with perhaps one of my children. Must have been in the early '60s. At Central and Tecumseh Rd. I was a brand new mom. It must have been near Christmas time. I was so impressed when one of your girls, must have been your elder, picked up her play phone and asked for Baby G (as in Jesus). She was requesting a certain toy for the holidays. In lieu of Santa Claus. Made a great impression on me and my later child rearing. Am so sad about Sylvia's passing. She was such a Lady with a Capital L. Am sorry we haven't contacted in the meantime as we live in Kingsville. Am hoping that Dave will come to the memorial to shake your hand, Gene. I have to crew with son, Doug's, racing car at Mosport at that time as Dave's back won't let him travel that far. Big hugs to you and your family. Signed Scooter.
