Tim McLean Tribute

I really can only say I wish them healing and peace.

My daughter who was 14 at the time. Security in Calgary is there, although I really don't think it is as professional or secure as it could be. The sequester area for the passengers is make-shift at most and I do believe that more can be done to get security protocols as the Calgary International Airport has.

The person who did this should be SENT back to his homeland of Dandong, China and let them take the burden of his incarceration, which should be PERMANENTLY. He is a very mentally unwell individual who needs to be cared for with medication and psycho-social counselling for the rest of his life.

Peace to the family of this man.

I just watched another Dateline story on this horrifying tragedy. Aside from all that should have, could have, would have been done...how can Greyhound refurbish this bus and put it back on the road. What an insult to all who have ever been a Greyhound passenger. I will never ride Greyhound again because of this decision. I feel that it would be so disrespectful to Tim's family and other's affected by this event. I have grandson's coming to the age of Tim when he was murdered. I can't begin to imagine....there are no words. It is seldom one sheds a real tear of a total stranger but I know of several of my friends who have, as have I. I would like to see a minimum 1 day Canada wide boycott of passenger service with Greyhound initiated. I don't know how this could be arranged but what ever I could do to let Greyhound know that they did a wrong and a bad thing (which just infuriated and shocked me and my friends even more than the tragic events of that horrible day in Canadian history) I will do it.. May you rest in peace Tom McLean. May your family gain justice for you, for themselves and for all of us who dare to care about a nice young man who should have had a long and happy life. I understand that Li could possibly be let out next year. How can this be prevented? Tim...you will always be remembered as a not-so-silent testimony as to wrong/right and you have all of us to see this never happens to anyone else ever again. You are forever in our hearts. To Tim's family I would just like to say...you more than deserve justice...you will gain it.

I haven't heard of this story until now and it is heartbreaking. How can someone do this to another human being? It is truly horrible and I hope that justice is served to the fullest extent of the law! My heart goes out to this young man's family.

To the family of Tim,

Though Tim has been taken away from you, he obviously left a memory of an active, full of life young man who loved his family and what life had to offer. He was a great gift and will remain in the memories of many...even strangers.
