Remember
Fire crews were called to Veillette's home on Brackenview Court around 10:00 p.m. Friday. Officials say 33 year old Nadya Ferrari Veillette was dead of stab wounds inside the home. Her 4 year old son Vincent died of carbon monoxide poisoning from the fire, according to the Warren County Coroner.
The Veillette's three other children 8 year old Marguerite, and 3 year old twins Jacob and Mia also died at Bethesda North. Autopsies on their bodies are expected in the next few days. Investigators do say some type of accelerant was used to start the fire.
Hutzel says a team of investigators is headed to Canada, where Nadya and Michel are originally from. She says her office is awaiting test and report results from the coroners and the State Fire Marshall but refused to release any more details, saying she is trying to protect the jury pool.
Mason City Schools have counselors on hand today at Mason Heights, where Marguerite attended third grade, and at the Mason Early Childhood Center, where Vincent was a preschool student.
Flags were ordered at half-staff by Warren County Commissioners today. That ruling will apply to all flags on county property.
Saint Suzanna Church on Reading Road is planning a prayer service this coming Thursday at 7 p.m. for Nadya and her four children.
