May Allah bless Our Imam with Peace..... he was truly a gift and light to muslims all over the world..
One of the MANY things he taught me was to THINK FOR SELF... and that is a wonderful thing...especially in times like today.Today after being under his teachings for over 30yrs..I insist on thinking for myself and I will never be anyones "interlectual slave "again.
Oh Allah thank you for Imam Muhammad.

Divine History

Isa al-Shafi Oct 15, 2008

In The Name of Allah, Who Came to Us In Person - Master Fard Muhammad,,,,And For Allah's last and greatest Messenger, the Hon. Elijah Muhammad (p.b.u.h.)

Allah Is The Greatest, We Thank Him for the work in which He used Imam Muhammad was destined to do, it helped the blind and the seeing.

No one wants the descendants of the enslaved Africans except Allah and those who servant Him.

May Imam Muhammad's family find peace in knowing that all shall fair well with us all.

as-salaam alaikum

P.S. Holy Qur-an 5:19 teaches us that there was a Messenger predicted therein coming after the last and greatest Messenger-prophet or Prophet-messenger. Moses, being the first Prophet-messenger and Muhammad Ibn Abdullah was the last, and "seal of the prophets".

Among Memories and Tears...

Dorothy Shareef Oct 08, 2008

My fondest memory of my Imam was at the passing of his father, Elijah Muhammad when he was lifted on stage on the shoulders of others. It was freeeeezzzzzing in Chicago that day, but no one seem to mind. It was a monumental event. I still see that image in my mind's eye. He was indeed an Imam for all Muslims. I learned more from WD Muhammad then from any other Imam on the planet. He gave Islam a voice in America. Iman WD Muhammad will always be my Imam. I will miss him terribly, but Allah saw fit to call back. May Allah bless him and make his grave wide ans spacious!
Allah-u-Akbar!

SAVIOUR'S DAY 1975

SHAHEED MUHAMMAD Sep 25, 2008

A-SALAAM-U-ALAIKUM

MY GREATEST MEMORIES OF IMAM W.D. MOHAMMED(pbuh) ARE COUNTLESS AND ARE TO GREAT TO SINGLE OUT JUST ONE. HOWEVER MY GREATEST MOMENT FROM THE IMAM WAS AT SAVIUORS DAY 1975 WHEN HE TOOK LEADERSHIP OF THE NATION OF ISLAM BECAUSE IT APPLIES TO THE TASK AT HAND. WHEN ELIJAH MUHAMMAD(pbuh) DIED BELIEVERS DIDN'T KNOW WHAT WAS NEXT, BUT IT WAS IMAM MOHAMMED WHO TOLD THEM THAT "....WE ARE NOT MOVED BY THE WINDS OF EMOTION......FOR WE ARE A HOUSE BUILT ON DEVINE KNOWLEDGE.....SO WHEN WHEN THE WINDS OF EMOTIONS COME WE WON'T WEEP AND MOAN AND CRY LIKE BABIES...." I BELIEVE THAT ATTITUDE IS THE REASON WHY HIS TEACHINGS WILL FOREVER LIVE THROUGH HIS FOLLOWING AND WE WILL BECOME EVEN STRONGER.

Why Imam W. Deen Mohammed was My Leader

Agin Muhammad, Sr. Sep 24, 2008

With Allah's Name the Merciful Benefactor, the Merciful Redeemer:

Before I even state my name I would like to upgrade the subject to: "Why Imam W. Deen Mohammed IS My Leader". I offer this modification because even though Imam Mohammed's body is no longer with us; his wisdom, his enlightenment, and his insight still leads me and will continue to lead me all my life and hopefully my children and their children and their children's children, and forever.

On April 25, 1975, Imam Wallace D. (Warith Deen) Mohammed gave me the name 'Agin Muhammad; under his father, the Honorable Elijah Muhammad, I was called Granville 2X. I heard him speak to us, ministers, the afternoon after his father passed; and I went home and told my wife, the Late June Latifah Muhammad, that we had not lost anything--we had received a great increase.

One day while he was teaching us on Stony Island about Pharaoh; I had just gotten an arabic dictionary. He told us that in arabic Pharaoh is Fir'aun. I hurriedly found Fir'aun in the dictionary while he was still talking and I observed that he took us to the root word farra'a noting the shaddah on the middle radical connoting intensive and extensive energy in the act of divisiveness. He expounded on the various shades of meanings of words derive from that root word. THAT WAS THE DAY I BEGAN TO UNDERSTAND THE SIGNIFICANCE OF MAKING CONNECTIONS. As I learned to read the Holy Qur'an (which I am still learning) I observed in 12:2 that Allah says that He revealed the Qur'an in arabic that we might make the connections. Most translations say that you may get understanding or learn wisdom---But what is understanding and/or wisdom but "receiving new information and connecting with that which you are already familiar so that you can benefit from the new infromation. The word that is translated understanding or wisdom is ta'qiluun; it is derived from 'aqala which to tie or bind. From this root word we get the 'aql which means "mind" because it is with the mind that we make intelligent connections. If we will but reflect; Imam W. Deen Mohammed placed great emphasis on making the connections. He taught us that everthing is connected.

This process of "making connections" that I learned from Imam W. Deen Mohammed has benefitted me beyound measure in my life. I recently labeled that benefit in my life as a "MRM". I know we are familiar with an MRI; but an MRM is a MENTAL REPONSE MODIFICATION. This MRM benefits me not just in my religious studies but in every aspect of my life, every endeavor, every pursuit. THIS IS JUST A GLIMPSE OF WHY IMAM W. DEEN MOHAMMED IS MY LEADER--THE LEADER IS GONE BUT THE LEADERSHIP REMAINS AND WILL REMAIN FOREVER THROUGH OUR PROGENY.

As-Salaamu-'Alaikum, Ramadan Mubarak & 'Eid Sa'eed,
'Agin Muhammad, Sr.

My Memory A Muslim American Icon

Yusuf Nasir Sep 21, 2008

Alhumdu-li-llah, I was a follower of the Hon. Elijah Muhammad in 1975 when I was introduced to our beloved Imam W. Deen Mohammed at Savior's Day. I was like most who are bold enough to admit it, apprehensive at our then Supreme Minister. Changing the teachings that we so loved. Ah, but he did take the Monkey off our backs, he gave us the freedom to think, and we used that freedom. He explained, that Allah(swt) wanted us to be in control of our own lives. As we come to understand it was not only his unique apporach to understandig the Qur'an it was his boldness and "Moral Courage" that won us over. Imam Mohammed's transitioning of the Nation of Islam was the single most profound event to happen on the shores of this country, and Allah blessed many of us to see it. Much Love Brother Imam, May Allah (swt) grant you the paridise!

My Memory of my First and last Imam.

Malachi Abdul-Malik Bashiri Sep 20, 2008

I forever thank Allah for the introduction into my life of Imam W. D. Mohammed on Feb. 26th, 1975. I was a young student minister in the Nation of Islam under Minister Abdul Rahman in Atanta Ga. My name at that time was Christopher 2X Minor; I later became Taalib-Uddin Abdullah. My first son, was named after Imam Mohammed. I had always It was Imam Mohammed that put me on the path to obtain accurate religious, scriptural, and spiritual knowledge. To this day, I am still on that path. Though I physically left the Imam's community in 1977, my heart remained with the the wonderful spiritual family that I left behind. His approach to Islam was both the most rational and intuitive approach that I have been introduced to. He was my first and last Imam. To the family of Imam Mohammed and to all of his followers, especially those of the Atlanta Masjid and Masjid Mu'minun, I send my Condolence.

My MemoryHe was a bold and thoughtful leader.
