I have known Walter since about Kindergarten or First grade, so I guess that makes it about 39-40 years. So many great times. So many great memories. From the garage attic fort in Massapequa, to the Three Streams woods, Mary's Hole and White log. Driving around the "Broccoli Spear" listening to Walter's "Good Sh*t" mixed tapes, (always killer cruising tunes) and doing Rampies where Walter would get the "Spear" up to cruising speed and try to get it airborne off a curb, or hill or other means of ramp. One memory with Walter still makes me smile often. Now the "spear" wasn't your ordinary vehicle. It was a big old wagon missing floor boards and on many occasions seats. One day me and Walt are driving around and he says, Meat go ahead and put yer' feet down. I said Hell no i'll go thru the floor. Don't worry he said I fixed the floorboards and welded in some metal panels. Cool - So I did and we continued driving. A few minutes later I say, Walt, whats up with all the missing street signs around here lately and he simply replied by pulling up the carpet on the floor of the car {YIELD,One Way, STOP). Every time I see a missing street sign I think of Walter, smile and want to laught my ass off!
Billy, Debbie, Jen, Wyatt, Josie, Mom Cannon, Mr Cannon and families. I am truly sorry for the sudden and painful loss of Walter. And while I regret that I was not in close contact with Walter the past few years I am very thankful to have known Walter for so many years of great friendship and memories. I hope all your wonderful memories will help to comfort and carry you all in the days and years to come.
With Sincerest condolences and regards,

P.S. - Nice job with this tribute site "Brother Bill" That's why you got the "Last Clean Shirt"
