POLICE have charged the father of four-month-old Zach O'Kane with murder after the baby was found dead in a bush grave.
John Patrick O'Kane, 40, was arrested late yesterday in his car at a truck stop several kilometres south of Pinjarra, about 80km south of Perth.
Baby Zach was found at Wellington National Park near Collie in the state's southwest today.
The child was was last seen in the suburb of Hillman on Monday when Mr O'Kane allegedly told his de facto wife that he was taking the child to visit his family in Langford, in Perth's south.
The alarm was raised two days later when Mr O'Kane failed to return home with the child as scheduled.
Mr O'Kane was arrested He is due to appear in Perth Magistrates Court on Monday charged with one count of murder.
