Zack was born on Mothers day on 11.05.2002, at Parklands Hospital in Durban.

He had blue eyes, blonde hair, a stocky build and a ready smile. He had lots of energy and was always into mischief.   He had a thing for labels and would go to sleep with his blankets label and his thumb in his mouth.

He loved Winnie the Pooh, cars, his lego castle+ pirate boat, Scooby Doo DVDs and dinosaurs.  He was alway busy and on the go.

He had an elder sister and brother : Jessica and Chad. 

He was an easy going happy child. 

Zack was about 18 old months when he had to wear glasses to correct a squint in one eye.

Zack was at creche when he started to run fevers on/off in Feb 06, he started to turn yellow on 01.03.06, we took him to the doctor + they thought that he had Hepatits, the tests came back negative + he was refered to a Paed, who did further tests, he was admitted to hospital on 11.03.06, where we were told that he has contracted a virus that had attacked his liver and he urgently required a liver transplant.  We flew him down to the Red Cross Childrens Hospital in Cape Town, where he was put on an intensive course of anitbiotics, he was initially put on the transplant list but was later removed because the virus had spread to his lungs.   We had an amazing day on the 27th of March where he seemed to be his old self and was playing and interacting with the people around him, unfortunatly his condition gradually worsened and he lapsed into a semi-comatose state and passed away on the 30th.   

His passing has left an empty space in our lives. He is sorely missed.
