Happy Birthday Daddy!

Bethany Jul 25, 2007

My Dad loved to laugh. That is how I want to remember him, with a big smile on his face. One of my favorite stories about him is the story he told me about getting "slapped in the face with a pigs butt." It goes like this.. He and his neighbor ( Mr. Dwayne LeFluer) loved to cook together as well as drink. They were having a bar-b-q and of course a small drinking fest. Well alcohol started flowing, my Dad began to tell Mr. Dwayne how to cook his meat. This eventually led to an argument, which progressed to a fight. Next thing you know, Mr. Dwayne " grabbed the pork butt and slapped him across the face with it." My Dad said he was so drunk he then fell into a rose bush.

It was so funny because when he was telling the story he was laughing so hard he was crying. He also had red marks on his face. Along with scratches all up and down his leg from the rose bush.

I thought it was a very funny and typical story from them two.

I will always remember the names he called me. For example, he always introduced me as his "baby girl" or if he was upset with me he would say "damn girl." He would say "damn girl" where ya going dressed like that;Or "damn girl" who do you send so many text messages to? Or "damn girl" when are you going to come see me? The list goes on..

There were several times that he would meet people who knew me and he would talk all night long about "his baby" girl and just brag about how much he loved me, etc.

I am going to miss his calls, when all he wanted to call and tell me is how much he loved me. I mean hours long.

More to come later..

Looking forward to going to his all time favorite restaurant tonight, Papacito's, and eating his favorite dish and drinking top shelf margarita's. Just like he would like it!

Love,
B
