He's been an idol of mine for many years now. He is a strong willed wonderful man. A terrific father and husband. An incredible actor. I cried when I found out he passed away. I'm still saddened by his passing. God rest his soul!!!!!!
I was given an oil painting, signed by HESTON, of a little river boy holding a bamboo fishing pole, wearing a straw hat. At an NRA banquet I had the opportunity to ask Mr. Heston if he painted it., He pondered for a moment then his lovely wife Lydia answered "yes I remembered you doing that painting". Although the painting is well done, it will never reflect the charm and dignity of this wonderful man and humanitarian. He was truly the last of the very best that Hollywood or for that matter this country has had to offer. God Bless you Charlton Heston until we meet again. Fred O
I have a huge painting on my wall signed HesToN... Dunno if he painted, but it is a beautiful painting of a cabin in the snow ..really ,really beautiful...I think he did paint because he was in rehab at some time and If this painting is done by him I will cherish it forever. If not I will sell it.
I'll miss "the actor" part of him. Playing Brad in "The Greatest Show On Earth"; Moses in "The Ten Commandments". However, I laugh at the death of the so-called "activist". Being a total asshole in "Bowling For Columbine", standing up for such bullshit as the 2nd amendment.
