Obituary
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, February 28th, at 10:30 a.m. at the Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Cherokee, Iowa. Pastor Liz Pfeifle will officiate and burial will be in the Oak Hill Cemetery at Cherokee. Visitation will be on Friday from 9 a.m. until 9 p.m. with the family present from 6:30 p.m. until 8 p.m. at the Boothby Funeral Home and a prayer service at 7:30 p.m. on Friday evening at the funeral home. Clifford was born on June 26, 1927 in Willow Township, Cherokee Co., Iowa to Horace and Mary (Hanson) Ferrin. He graduated from Grand Meadow High School in 1946. He was married to Margaret Furgason on April 17, 1948 in Cherokee, Iowa. He had farmed all his life, retiring in 2004. Cliff had resided in Omaha the past 4 months, in LeMars for 4 years, and on a farm south of Marcus for 61 years. He was a charter member of the Faith Lutheran Church in Marcus. He enjoyed collecting toy tractors, woodworking, leather craft, and attending old time dances, especially Polkas with his wife Margaret and all four of his daughters and their friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
He is survived by his wife, Margaret and five children: Linda (Jim) Lair of Omaha, Nebraska; Louise “Luci” Ferrin of Sibley, Iowa; Joelene (Tom) Ewers of Hudson, Florida; Marilyn (Steve) Kofmehl of Adel, Iowa; Charles (Deborah) Ferrin of Omaha, Nebraska; 10 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren and 2 brothers: Harold (Judy) Ferrin of Cherokee, Iowa; Wilbur (Linda) Ferrin of Reed Springs, Missouri; also several nieces and nephews.

I really miss you! Sometimes, I need help finding the right tool or the right paint or the plan to complete my projects and I go to the phone to call you because you were ALWAYS there! Not now! Gosh, I miss you so much but I am so glad you are no longer struggling!

I never saw Cliff get upset much when things weren't going right, we would just keep trying until we got it done. When we took the roof of the garage of our house in Holstein in one piece, put it on trailer and hauled it to the farm, that was one job I didn't think we'd get done, but we prevailed.
