A. His dad was a band leader and his mom was a singer. dan was influenced by their musical talents. He was given a hawaiian guitar by his grandfather which he took to and learned to play on his own. He was in a popular band called the Clan when he was a teen. The band won an award at the state fair and recorded a record at one point. Dan went on from there to sing in coffee house called The Red herring where he met Irving Azoff--the rest is sweet melodic history!!!

A. he was the youngest of 3 boys. Brothers Marc, a lawyer in Chicago and Peter,a graphic artist in Peoria.

A. One Dan told publicly was about the three brothers, as grown men, coming home for Christmas and playing football in the front yard. One of them sailed the ball through the living room window. Their Dad Lawrence (the Leader of the Band) hurried out, as if to scold the boys, but realizing they were grown now, just shook his head, perplexed.

A. Several years back he converted to Catholicism.

A. Dan was a very fit guy. In his adult life he enjoyed skiing as much as he could. Sailing his sailboat up in Maine was another way he spent his off-time. I think I read he also was a great horseback rider, mountain biker and mountain climber.

A. I read Dan was a gardener (never knew that one) though he had a green house attached to the houseat the ranch...he was a gourmet cook also..

A. He went to the Amalfi Coast in Italy for His honeymoon with Jean--I believe...

A. There are a few photos online of the honeymoon site in Mexico. Amalfi was where Dan proposed to Jean.

A. His Mom was of Scottish blood , so maybe he would have loved Scotland. His Dad was Scandinavian and dan loved the snow--so he would probably love Switzerland !!!
