the victims of NIU Tribute

I'm from Blacksburg VA, home of Virginia Tech.
After the candlelight vigil last night, I wrote
this song for all of us. Huskies, the Hokies are with you.
We are all one light.

Roses In the Snow

When there are roses in the snow,
We fear it's someone that we know
Yet always it is someone's
Brother, sister, lover, friend
And it's always devastating
Didn't want to need to sing this song again.

Yet where ever roses grow, I will remember
And raise a song for friends gone on before
Plant a vivid red beside my orange ember
For I never will forget you
You will live on in my heart forevermore.

Vigil hour, here I stand
Candle flickers in my hand
See the spark is spreading
Through the crowd and through the night
'Til we're all one light together
Hold it high and show the world,
We are one light.

Now where ever candles glow, I will remember
And raise a song for friends gone on before
Shine a vivid red beside my orange ember
We are all one light together,
And you live here in our hearts forevermore.
