What have you found about your local community? Is there anything we can do on this website that will lend further assistance or support? In short, what is your community doing and what can the Internet world do? Thanks.

Ilana Fried:Interesting discussion. What I have noticed is that in the States people are very active and very organized. A lot is left to individual's actions. Here in Amsterdam, people want the government to take care of everything. That means that there is not a lot of society involvement. So if you have AIDS or are ill, you are put in a different world it seems. It was quite an eye opener to see the positive willingness of Americans to want to contribute and care about others.
