He was truly a wonderful and inspirational man. Dr. King was assassinated on April 4, 1968, in Memphis, Tennessee. He was posthumously awarded the Presidential Medal of Freedom by President Jimmy Carter in 1977. Martin Luther King Day was established as a national holiday in the United States in 1986. He touched the lives of many and changed the course of history for all.

Dr. King means so much to so many people :) If it wasn't for him things wouldn't be the way they are today. I thank God for Dr. King and all of the good that he has done :)
