Parents

I lost my mom when I was 16-years-old. It was a sudden death, she was only 45 when it happened. I had come home from work that summer to find my mom passed away in our laundry room. It's been a rough nine years for me since she has passed away. The hardest has been going through life's milestones without her around. I see lots of adult women who have positive relationships with their mothers and I simply have no concept of it. Sometimes I find myself slightly jealous, other times not so much.
