My Most Cherished Memory

Peter Gerard Dec 17, 2007

My most cherished memory is the smell of roastbeef. Up until College I completely took for granted the fact that my mom had dinner on the table every night at 6pm sharp. I'm not talking about instant meals either. I'm talking about all 4 food groups and a dessert. Then I went away to College suffered the horrible food at the dorm cafeteria. For those 4 years I missed home cooking so badly that it was the first thing I complained about whenever I got on the phone to my parents. Sure enough, every time I came through their front door I could smell the roastbeef and yorkshire puddings waiting for me. That smell will always make me think of my parents.
