James Brown gave us more than music and dance. He gave us pride. I can recall the day that I threw my fist up in the air while listening and jamming to James singing "Say it loud I'm black and I'm proud," The release of this song was a momentous moment in my life and many others. I love him and respect what he did for so many of our people, and I am happy that he left us so many songs, dances and memories.
