Jimmy Skinner was the Detroit Redwings head coach when they won a Stanely Cup in 1955. In 1980, he became the team's GM until 1983. Skinner had an overall coaching record of 123-78-46. He was in the Red Wing Organization for 40 years. Skinner Coached three all star games. Jimmy won the Memorial Cup as Mgr of Hamilton Red Wings in 1963. Prior to joining Detroit Red Wings, he was playing Captain of the Omaha Knights. He also played for the Flin Flon Bombers. He was coach of the Windsor Spitfires before becoming Detroit's coach.
