Having attended Marshall through the plane crash I know personally of the loss of young football players. The pain has not entirely gone away even until this day.
My prayers and thoughts are extended to his family, my alumni family and to his friends.
I looked forward to every home game in Huntington, to see #50 play. He was great! I had the opportunity to get to know him. Not only was he a great football player, but a wonderful person. I will miss him so much!
My family met Johnathan at our Club Crush picnic with the team in May. A fine young man, and a tragic loss. At last nights Crush game I saw several posters held up in tribute to him by fans in the stands. My condolences to all of his family and friends.
Although Johnathan was only a member of the Colorado Crush for a short while, we were all glad to know him. Club Crush is the booster club of the Crush, and we were fortunate to be able to spend time with him at our Team/Club Picnic May 31.

It was beyond a pleasure to watch you play at Marshall. You were one of the best ever to wear the green and white. Rest in peace. You will NEVER be forgotten!!
You were a special person on and off the field. You played with recklees abandon on the field but in person you were gentleman raised by a good and loving family. I wish you peace on your journey.
My memories of you are all from your days at Marshall University. You were a very special football player. You played the game with heart and it showed on the field! I know of at least 75 people who watched you everyday and are waiting to welcome another Son of Marshall. Thanks for the Memories.
