Mallory was headed to softball practice thursday night (May 4, 2006) on a road she's traveled many times before. But on this fateful night, Mallory misjudged a sharp curve and hit a tree. Mallory was medi-vac'd to the hospital where she was pronounced dead on arrival. She was a standout student who excelled in three sports, softball, basketball and soccer. Mallory will always be remembered as the most focused and dedicated person on the playing field.
